Nollywood Actor Emma Buchi Murdered by his PA

Nollywood Actor, Emma Buchi has been allegedly murdered by his personal assistant in Delta State.

President of the Igbo Movie Producers Association of Nigeria (IMPAN), Johnpaul Nwanganga, confirmed the death of the actor on Wednesday.

Speaking with journalists in Enugu, Johnpaul said the PA, known as Sunny, allegedly murdered the actor in Asaba, Delta State, in the same apartment they both lived in. He attributed the act to the late actor’s refusal to teach his PA film production.

Johnpaul said the actor who hailed from Abia State was killed on July 7, 2022, but his decomposing body was found on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. He added that eye witness caught the PA carting away the actor’s belongings leaving only his ceiling fan.

“Information from the deceased family member said the PA’s house in Umuahia has been razed by protesting youths since he escaped,’’ Mr. Nwanganga said.

He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure the perpetrator is arrested and warned Nigerians to be wary of whom they hired as personal assistants.

The police spokesman in Delta State, DSP Bright Edafe said an investigation had begun on the murder case.

He said while the PA to Buchi had been accused as a suspect, the police will not presume him guilty until proven so.

“If the family says their suspect is the PA, we shall still investigate. We are on his trail as he is on the run,’’ Edafe said.

DSP Edafe added that no arrest had been made, but the police would surely get to the root of the matter.
