SCREENING OF EDO STATE PENSIONERS BEGINS DEC 2

The Edo State Government recently disclosed its plan to commence the screening exercise for pensioners in the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Permanent Secretary/Chairman of the Edo State Pensions Bureau, Mr Saylor Juwobor, said the scheduled exercise is expected to be carried out across the three senatorial zones of Edo State and it is going to start on the 2nd of December through the 12th of December.

Juwobor said, the exercise, tagged, ‘Am Alive Screening/Revalidation Exercise for State Pensioners,’ is also going to be virtual. The screening exercise would be held on Skype for pensioners that no longer reside within the country.

He urged all pensioners in the state to come in person and he also requested that they should come to the venue armed with their letters of approval to retire from service and their biometric verification slips.

He said, “It is important to add that pensioners and officials at the venue of the exercise are required to put on face masks, keep social distance and adhere to other COVID-19 regulations.”

“The venues for the screening of pensioners are the council halls of the various local government areas, while the venue for pensioners in Oredo is the Imaguero College Hall, Sapele Road, Benin City.”
