After over three months of investigations into the activities of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under its suspended acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu, full reports of the investigation have been submitted to the president.
Ago Salami, a retired justice and president of the appeal court and also the head of the panel on Friday presented four boxes containing the reports at the council chambers of the presidential villa.
President Muhammadu Buhari after inaugurating the panel in July gave them 45 days to carry out their investigations but he had to extend the duration of the assignment when the panel asked for more time.
It was mandated to probe allegations of corruption and abuse of office leveled against Mr Magu by the Attorney General and Minister Justice, Abubakar Malami.
According to other reports, the Chairman of the panel has previously sent in a summary of their investigations to the president’s Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
