The governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde has announced that in agreement with Heads of security agencies in the state, men of the Nigeria Police should subsequently take a back seat and allow other security operatives to take charge of ensuring law and order in #ENDSARS protests across the state.
Governor Makinde disclosed this on Monday during a special broadcast on the protest against police harassment, brutality and activities of Special Anti robbery Squad, SARS across the country.

It will be recalled that a young man, Jimoh Isiaq was killed in Ogbomoso on Saturday during the protest. It has also been gathered that not less than 8 people have subsequently been killed by the police during the protests in Ogbomoso.
