Minister of works and housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, acting on directives from President Muhammad Buhari paid a condolence visit to Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-olu, on the lives and properties lost during the #EndSARS protest.
During this visit, the minister visited the site of the Lekki Massacre in the company of other APC leaders.
Those in Babatunde Fashola’s company were: Ministers of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Mines and Industries, Olamilekan Adegbite, Niyi Adebayo, Trade and Investments and Olorunnibe Mamora, Health state.
Also, some South West Governors such as: Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, and Lagos States, Kayode Fayemi, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, Seyi Makinde, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, respectively, were on the inspection tour in the company of newsmen.
They inspected the toll-gate and it was Babatunde Fashola that discovered a lone camera that was planted on the assessment spot of the toll-gate.
Him, Fashola, picked up the camera with the aid of a handkerchief so as not to destroy forensic evidence.
He handed the camera to the Governor for further investigation and not before adding that, the camera was planted there by some subservient elements.
While handing the camera over, he also stated that, “I think this will help with the ongoing investigations into the shootings at the Lekki Toll Gate.
“It requires forensic analysis and could be used in the investigations to unravel the mystery surrounding the shootings at the Toll Gate, I believe.”
