INEC Budgets N239 Billion for 2023 Election Materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission has budgeted 239.2 billion naira for the procurment of voting materials and vehicles to be used in the 2023 general election.

As gathered from the 2023 General Election Project Plan that was launched by INEC in Abuja yesterday, the commission has budgeted the amount for the purpose of materials acquisition.

It was stated by the commission that 239.2 billion naira which makes up 78.44 per cent of its 305 billion naira total budget, would be spent on 10 critical items which included ballot papers, operational vehicles, ballot boxes, allowances of ad hoc workers, printing of result sheets, logistics and procurement of accreditation devices.
