Elon Musk Offers to Buy Twitter

The Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has offered to buy one of the biggest social media platform for a wooping sum of  $43.4bn (£33bn)

The world’s richest person made this known in a regulatory filing on Thursday that he had launched a hostile takeover of Twitter. He further confirmed the move in a public appearance at the TED conference in Vancouver later that day as reported by Guardian.

“Having a public platform that is massively trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization,” Musk said during an interview with Chris Anderson, Ted conferences curator and a former editor of Wired.
