Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s close associate, Isa Funtua.
Before his death, Funtua had been the founding Managing Director of The Democrat Newspaper and former President of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria. The late elder statesman reportedly died of cardiac arrest Monday night at the age of 76. The business tycoon was believed to be one of the power brokers behind Buhari’s regime.

Reacting to the development on his Facebook page, Nnamdi Kanu described Funtua as one of the architects of Operation Python Dance.
According to him, 2020 is the year of Biafra because people who swore it would never come to pass are now dying one after the other.
He wrote: “Another architect of Operation Python Dance is gone. Three down, two more to go. All those that swore they would never live to see Biafra are all slowly leaving the stage. This proves that Biafra is imminent and 2020 is our year.”
