Paris Saint-Germán (PSG) forward, Kylian Mbappe, has arrived in Spain for his team’s second-leg round of 16 tie against Real Madrid.
Mbappe took to his Instagram page on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, where he announced his arrival in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
The forward shared multiple photos of himself at the Bernabeu stadium 24-hours before PSG face Real Madrid.
He captioned the post with a Spanish flag, a pushpin emoji and “@championsleague”.
There had been fears that Mbappe may miss the match after he sustained an injury in training the previous day.
PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino, said earlier on Tuesday that he expected Mbappe to be fit for the game after teammate, Idrissa Gueye, had stood on his foot in training on Monday.
An MRI scan was conducted and the results showed Mbappe had no fracture which paved the way for him to travel to Spain.

Pochettino told reporters that “We talked, he’s fine.
“At the time, he was crying out and he was in pain. But he could walk easily two hours later. I hope he can train well after the press conference.”
The forward joined his teammates in training after Pochettino spoke to the media and the 23-year-old looked in good shape during the light fitness session and passing drill.
PSG holds a 1-0 lead going into Wednesday’s second leg courtesy of an Mbappe 90th minute winner in the first leg.
Mbappe will be hoping for another fine performance against Madrid at the Bernabeu after scoring against them in a 2-2 draw in the 2019/20 UCL group stage.
He has constantly been linked to a move to the Spanish giants in the summer as he only has under four months left on his current PSG contract.
However, this doesn’t worry Pochettino who has declared that the transfer rumours will not affect Mbappe on the pitch.

“He is mature even if he is young,” Pochettino added. “I don’t doubt Kylian. He won’t change his way of playing because of what’s happening on the outside.”
