Big Brother Naija 2018 Edition; Notable events to remember.

The 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija also called BBNaija ‘Double wahala’ had 20 housemates competing for the grand prize of N45 million. The theme ‘Double Wahala’ revolved around who packed enough trouble and wasn’t scared of bringing their ‘A’ game to Biggie’s house.

BBNaija Fake Eviction
On launch night, Biggie made sure he riled up the housemates by setting up a fake eviction. The housemates that couldn’t get bed corresponding with the number they got on stage were asked to leave Biggie’s house. Vandora, Tobi, Ahneeka, Dee-One, Alex, and Leo were the housemates that were fake evicted.

It was no news that Cee-C packed fiery hot wahala but it was Miracle Ikechukwu Igbokwe that was crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Double Wahala’.

BBNaija 2018 Top Five Finalists

The five contestants that made it to the final week of the show were Alex, Nina, Tobi, Cee-C, and Miracle. The week leading to the grand finale was intense and nerve-wracking, but Miracle won with a total of 38.18 percent of the total votes; Cee-C was the 1st runner up with 28.04 percent of the votes; Tobi became the 2nd runner up with 22.54 percent of the vote; Alex clinched a total of 7.07 percent of the votes and Nina got 4.18 percent of the total votes.
As the culture has always been in Biggie’s house, there were no nominations during the 1st week.

Notable events from BBNaija season 3
The ejection of K. Brule and Khloe from the show after they got three strikes each.

On the 26th day of the show airing, Big Brother asked the housemates to nominate the pairs of their choice. The housemates voted for ‘TENA’, this pair consisted of Teddy A and Nina. This action gave the pair immunity from the next round of nominations.

By day 43, housemates were allowed to nominate individually but the head of House lost the power to save and replace nominated housemates.
Biggie announced another twist to the show. He decided that two evicted contestants would be given the opportunity to return to the house to compete for the grand prize. And the public was given the power to vote for who they wanted back in the show. Anto and khloe had the highest number of votes, so they were allowed back into Biggie’s house.

If we were ever asked to list any BBNaija relationship that went sour, the top one on our list would be that of Miracle and Nina. Despite the fact that Nina was involved in a relationship before going into the house, she and Miracle hit it off the moment the show took off. Miracle could be likened to a knight in shining armour because he took it upon himself to look out for Nina during their stay in the house. The only sad fact about the relationship was it went sour and they split ways- without letting us know about it.

Yes, we also remember the time Alex set social media into a frenzy when she revealed she had an abortion at the age of 16. Alex told Leo how she was almost raped by the doctor that was meant to perform a D/C operation on her when she was only 16 years old, and in SS3. Trust Nigerians to react and air their opinions like it is their life.
Would we even be talking about BBNaija ‘Double Wahala’ without talking about the Cee-C controversies?

There were lots of Cee-C moments but we are going to stick to a select few.
Remember that time Cee-C altered the Saturday night party dress that was given to her? OMG! That episode left viewers with mixed reactions. Even the official sponsors of the show, Payporte, took to social media to express their displeasure.

Or was it the fight she had with Tobi? Everyone, including our Grandmother thought this power couple was going to take the love thing outside the house with them. But no, they had to fight and spoil the good thing viewers saw. Fun fact about the fight; it took the intervention of Alex Unusual and Lolu for the fight to come to an end.
When all was said and done, the viewers made sure the best man went home with the Big Brother Naija grand prize.
